Default Corvette's in Factory X

They just allowed 2014-2019 Corvette's in Factory X. Probably cause GM is discontinuing the Camaro. More aerodynamic than the Camaro for sure.

I guess we can lobby for the 2019 GT to be accepted!

There's your new runaway combo! It's pretty obvious that the 'Vette has a significant aerodynamic advantage over the other three cars. It's a glass slipper amongst work boots.

I don't understand. Camaro and Challenger are both done. Mustang not, but can't imagine it living in its current iteration much longer. If Chevy gets the Corvette, what do the other manufacturers get? The GT Ford? Vipers? Retired Pro Stock cars with a 10.5" tire?

Nevermind them trying to maintain parity! COPO goes fast and gets a pulley change. Does it apply to the 'Vette? What about the reverse situation?

The spirit behind FSS and, I thought, FX was that the cars were original, production, race cars. Might as well call it Factory Pro Mod now. I don't like to use the term "ruined," but man, I can't think of a better word to describe this. The class is still in its infancy and it feels like it's already happened.

I got to see and watch Factory X cars at Vegas for the first time. I hope they don't ruin the class so quickly. Noticable too if one is near a ProStock car of the same model... the ProStock car is about 3/4 of the width.

Factory X is a dead player. Soon it will be just another class in Comp.

Billy, I agree with you, but I hope we're both wrong. The intention was good!

But by allowing the Corvette in, they have changed the original premise. I can't see that as being a good thing. As noted above, what's next? The Fffford GT and Viper?

Apparently GM requested a Vette X class, with Challenger and Camaro production ending I imagine they wanted to stake out who the class will cater to.

Lonnie told us at the vegas race there was 3 people who had cars built for another class that with a engine location change it would work in FX, That was his reasoning. I am waiting to see how they make the engine location work under the hood
