Reaction Time Differences R vs L lane at G-Villle?
For those who were at Gainesville this past weekend for the LODRS event, did you notice any difference in reaction time from the right lane to the left?
For me, the 60 foot times were identical, but the reaction times were much slower in the left lane than the right. The right lane behaved properly for me with my normal delay settings, but the left seemed about .040 slow... Am I loosing my mind? Could there have been a difference in the lights? Any insight is appreciated. |

I was there and ran in Super Gas and Super Comp, my reactions were fairly consistant in both lanes

No offense, but you just missed it in the left lane. .004, maybe, who can tell. .040, no way. However, think whether your slow times were first thing in the morning with the sun directly behind your LEDs in the left lane. That can be worth .020 or more.

OK. I must have missed it... I was knocking the tree down all weekend in the right lane, so it just seems strange that both of my runs in the left were slow. Sre didn't feel slow, and you typically know when you are that late.
Planning to do a better job of balancing time runs between both lanes at SGMP. Thanks guys |

Gainesville is normally tight, and the rollout was even tighter at the LODRS than I've ever seen it. I race there 25 times a year so have a pretty good feel. I had .020 more in my box in S/ST than at any other race and still would have been .009 red on one time run. I was .001 first round and still couldn't find the win light.
Yes, the rollout was unusual. If you liked that, just wait until next week at SGMP. |
