Series Update

Effective w/ our August 14 race at Roxboro we will go back to our 100% payback schedule that we have used since we began holding these events. The track management at Roxboro can no longer afford to guarantee the $1000 win/ $200 r/u purse as car counts have just been too low. I have discussed this w/ most of the drivers that have been attending and all seem to agree we would rather go back to our old pay out system than to have no where to race. Thanks to Alan and the Martin family for trying the guaranteed purse as that's what the general concensus was that we needed to increase car counts. During these economic times that just doesn't seem to work either. Hopefully things will get better and participation will increase in all series and classes, it's not just stock/super stock that are hurting...it's drag racing in general. Just a side note, to get to the $1200 total purse we need 16 cars, we need to shoot for that number at each event.
