TRAVEL HELP NHRA Nationals infineon raceway sonoma, ca
I am flying into the race, does anyone know which airport is best to fly into?
To avoid a outrageous cab bill and travels that took me threw the wine fields a few years back because my cab driver had no clue where he was going, can someone suggest, a way for me to get from the airport to the track and back again. Shuttle service??? Thanks for your help. |

My wife has grandparents in the sonoma area and she flies into San Fransisco and takes the bus service from the airport. It stops in three or four towns allong the way and you can rent cars from there. I think the bus is around 35-40$ She and her mother do it twice a year and have tried both airports they like SF better. Hope this helps, Mike

I would think flying into San Francisco Airport would be the easiest. Then take Hwy 101 about 25 miles north to Hwy 37. You'll drive about 10 miles and see the signs for the track. It's a pretty easy trip.

When you say “bus service” are you talking public transit or is it a shuttle bus specifically from the airport stopping threw a few towns. Do you know the bus service name. I just need to get close to the track, once I am near the track I am sure I can get a ride in. Thanks for your reply.
PS Thanks Julie, but I will not be renting a car since we already have a pit car on property just no one with the time to drive it to and from the airport to pick me up. PPSS: Just called super shuttle, you want a great laugh they want $275 to get me there one way. Last edited by Incognito Gecko; 07-06-2007 at 01:22 PM. Reason: more info recieved |

My wife told me it is the Airport Express, and it stops at San Rafael, and Sana Rosa, and Sonoma county airport. Hope this helps, Mike

It might be cheaper for you whether you fly into San Francisco or Oakland would be
to rent a car from Hertz or one of the other MAJOR companies and do a one day one way rental to Sanoma (where ever they have an office) and then drop the rental off. It should run $50-100 for a 24 hr rental. Phil Saran SOCAL |
