Re: PG Trans Gurus--Need Help
Hi I had the same problem last season 07" with a new car I bought. put me engine in and sat on the front tire, reved the engine and presto instant slam into the wall, och, lol. We had the trans in and out 6 times to 3 different trans guys, trans guy #4 found a small crack in the main body that would over ride the reverse, We tried all the stuff sujested above, it was not the linkage, valve body ect, it was the case it self. Good luck with yours.

Re: PG Trans Gurus--Need Help
Got it fixed!! Here's what I found: Internally, when the little roller was in the "Park" detent of the rooster comb, the spring-loaded plunger would not fully engage the parking pawl. I modified the "nose" of the plunger so that it would go in farther (about .090) and now appears to be working great. Not sure why this problem came up, all parts seemed to be fine, no cracks or bent pieces. Maybe some mis-matched aftermarket parts? I don't know the full history on this trans.

Good to hear you found the issue.
Also good info to share. There is always something new to learn and the forum can be of assistance from a huge knowledge pool. Now Henry won't need to stay behind you in Denver. My 2 Cents |
