Default powerglide question

If you run Powerglide with pro tree brake (push button for reverse) you have 2 safety

it's safe, what the problem?

Don't be frustrated ghost; being from Quebec I'm guessing French is your first language...you might try running it through one of the translator apps...and no, not a danger clicking it into neutral.

If its a forward pattern VB its probably safe . A reverse pattern VB that by accident goes back into 1st gear instead of going from High gear to Neutral might be a problem. That is why there are a few VB's out there , that have a clean Neutral , so you never have to shift across a lower gear to get back to Neutral .

I thought it was bad to put a glide into neutral after crossing the line as it over spins the drum and can explode?

A powerglide will survive, don't try it with a 3 speed unless you have a safe neutral valve body.

I've neutraled and shut off my SG Powerglide for thousands of runs with zero problems .
There is plenty of lubrication for the tailshaft ,especially since so many run the roller bearings.
