some travel trailer ?????
I realize this is not a racing question but some of you work at RV dealers or have had experience in this area. My son & daughter in law are looking at getting a travel trailer. When they say the size is ,for example 30 feet is that the overall length of the trailer from tha back of the trailer to the very front of the ball hitch/drawbar or is it the size of the actual living quarters/box ???? Also in used trailers what specific ??? should they be asking and also what defects should they be looking for/at.. Obviously roof leaks are one example but what other areas do you need to really look into???? Thanx Comp 387

Re: some travel trailer ?????
One of the main things to look for is LEAKS ! And warpage or discoloration around the ceiling or windows are sights to RUN !! Dry rot will ruin a travel trailer.

Re: some travel trailer ?????
If purchasing a used trailer you may be able to get all of the accessories such as leveling jacks, waste hoses, freshwater hoses and other chemicals. You wouldn,t believe how much those items add up. There is a website strictly for rv'ers www.rv.net, they have a forum and you can ask just about any question you can imangine.

Re: some travel trailer ?????
Generally, trailer length is measured from the hitch ball to the rear of the bumper, so knock off three feet to get the actual size of the box.
