Default Harrison Racing Engines Set Record/ CRASH

As promised we went to Memphis and set the SS/KA record. The air was only 1800-2000 ft. so all we could run was 1.25 under (10.30) We passed Div. 4's Weslie's teardown , he was impressed with our work . He even tore the interior of the car out to make sure we were completely legal. Hope this clears up any rumors. If not protest us we will need the protest money after fixing the car.Unfortunately second round the trans. locked up at the finish line sending Bob into the wall @ 125 mph. He was not hurt but the car is very bad. We are fixing it and will be back with a new front end, and a new paint color.

Congrats on a well deserved record on a NON factored track. Glad Bob is OK...cars can be fixed.

Hope to see you in the lanes this summer.

Wow how much does setting the record pay? any contigency $$$
That information is only supplied to record holders. You have to go to NHRA.com and there is a list of incentives &/or contengencies for those capable of setting records. It also escalates the more records you set. To find the information you need a special password that NHRA will give you (after you make a written request) and is based on your past performance (under index runs).
Aside from that, I can tell you it helps with sponsorships and other discounts from the manufacturers. And since Harrison apparently builds engines for a living, it would appear they set or attempt to set records in order to sell more engines. Those that feel this is nothing but a bracket class need not apply!

i always thought about what would happen if a rear end or transmission locked up at the end of track. i guess the answer is anything, lucky if you dont crash..
