This will be my 13th Indy overall and my 12th straight. Any true fan of class racing should experience Indy at least once!

Indy is the Best ! East meets West ! I always Loved going. Weather conditions could be really hot or cool and fast , Make sure you get a motel early ! Moroso cookouts we're a great time. 👍

For sure 81. I think 82 as well. I remember a Strong Beer truck parked in the field and a long line of people in line for chicken and corn. Their were a couple of flat bed semi trailers for the band stage and wet t shirt contest. I recall Richard Schroeder (who was a very big guy) warning the crowd to keep their hands off the stage or he would step on them during the wet t shirt contest.

Now THAT was a blast. Bob Glidden and his family sat down on the ground next to us, Clarence Clemons and the E Street Band playing on stage...lots of good memories from that one. -Al
