Default King of the Track

for those of you that do a little bracket racing at your local track in the Northeast to supplement your class racing -- please be sure to check out the King of the Track program that Pontiac has just announced along with Bob and the NER NHRA team.

We'll be paying out $700 to the King of the Track winner at each of the local tracks, and $5000 to the winner, $2500 to the runner-up, and $1250 to the semi-finalists at the Finals.

Details are posted on the Northeast page of the NHRA website. Hope you can support your local track and take advantage of a pretty attractive cash payout from your friends at the General.

To clarify:
"Each member track will host an event which will crown a King of the Track Champion. The 15 tracks in the Summit ET Finals will send that champion to race in the King of the Track Challenge presented by Pontiac at the Summit ET Finals at Maple Grove on Thursday, September 27, 2007. The winner will receive $5000, runner-up $2500 and each semi-finalist $1250."

That's fantastic! Thanks Scott for the info , your support and to The General for the $$$.
See you at the track...
-Don

Scott
Do you have to be a points member at the host track to compete at their King of the Track race? I can see some where someof the more "aggressive" track owners may ty to make a visiting racer buy a "points" license to compete at that race.

Billy,

not sure on that one; will follow-up with Lang and co to see what the track owners agreed to when they discussed the King of the Track program and our involvement
