Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
Unfortunately I think that is what needs to happen. Not all Divisions will get the same amount of races. Not all National events will be contested. Therefore obtaining points will not be on an even playing field. Rumor is also that 2019 Champions Gold cards will be good for next year, 2021

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
I think they should kill points this year.
Just give us our Grade points we earn and let the 2019 champs defend their Championships in 2021 |

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
Was wondering on the grade point thing with some friends so e mailed my Division Director, crazy idea I know,
Would like it known he responded rather quickly and are working on a solution to this issue! Very nice to see and hoping they make a reasonable decision. It’s a tough nut for all but figured I’d go to source or try to and am pleased to say was answered and felt they’re workin on it! |

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
Grade point deal is simple. Let everyone use what they earn either this year or last year whichever is greater. Mike McMahan 25 H/SA

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
I’m sure it will make a few people unhappy, especially if you did well in Pomona, Phoenix, Gainesville & the 2 D2 / 1 D7 races already contested but, I wouldn’t put it past them to nix it or have some sort of adjustment to how you claim points. I think Nationals are very questionable in Chicago, St. Louis (National is actually held in Illinois), Washington State & California and the way PA is going I can’t see MG being able to hold a Large Crowd by September for their National. NASCAR did ok with no fans yesterday but, I felt like it was a 43 car private test session with no fans and I know their TV contract is completely different then NHRA and they can roll with no fans and make $$$ where NHRA needs the fans to make revenue. It’s going to interesting to see what the plan is but, I guess we should be glad we’re racing this year. Just roll all the 2019 stuff over to 2021 or whenever we can get Nationals / Divisionals back up to par.

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
NHRA should allow you to carry forward either your 2019 Divisonal points OR your 2020 Divisonal points, which either is greater for 2021.
It would allow racers who could not race many events in 2019 but plan to in 2020 , to compete in 2021 on a National level. Who |

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
I believe they currently average your last 2 or 3 years grade points if that average is more than last years grade points for a better chance at getting into a National.
Right now I am not sure any rumor is a good one. Time will tell. Just My Take Rick Cates Canyon, TX |

Re: National/Divisional Points Rumor Alert
Guys don't forget about the 3 year grade point combo/ averge thing . It was to help if you have one bad year & had to be parked for any reason . I could see it being a problem if you had been out of racing longer than 2 years & this was to be first year coming back . Take a look on your tech card on line & you can see it
