Default Dyno numbers 305

Curious if anyone would share some numbers. Like horsepower and torque. I am building a 305 for a Malibu wagon and wondered what kind of numbers I would be looking for.
I made a pull last night. The engine I got right now is weak as water I pulled it and now gonna disassemble it and give it a freshen up.
Looks like it made a whooping 318 hp at 5700

What would be considered a stout number for a 305??

Hopefully it will make quite abit more in a few weeks.

Phil, there is a tread on here with formulas, N/SA weight 3505, 12.0 1 second under, 110 mph, 400.09 hp at flywheel and 360.1 at rear wheels, I have the same motors in my cars, but I never had my motors on a dyno. Tom

84 flat top Hp 355 @ 6200. tQ 345 @ 4600. Best .98 under index I/S Ihra.
5 year old dyno #s. Don't believe 20 extra horses for "big cam" is warranted.

I am puttin this in a N/sa wagon. I got the engine apart yesterday looks like there was alot of power slipping through the rings.

Whos camshaft are some of you guys using? what kind of rpms are the 305 good for? does it make since to use the tool lifters??

On the lifters there was no difference in my 283 other than i was scared to death one was going to shatter. I have shubecks

I really appreciate you racers that respond as i am running out of time to make div 2 opener. I have a ride but really want to get my wagon finished. I know finding 70 plus horsepower is a shot in the dark for a idiot like myself but i am gonna give it my best
