Re: Scott Burton - what happened?
I was there when it happened. 1st round Stock Pacific Raceways (Kent, Wa.) last Saturday. I don't know all the particulars but was announced that Scott is O.K.
I watched the run and turned to see who was next in the water box and when I turned back around I saw the car going across the track after hitting the right wall. I hope someone will fill in more details. My first thought was OH CRAP this is not good, I hope Scott is O.K. There appeared to be flames under the car as it went from the right to the left after the finish line. Where is the picture, or, if possible, can one be posted here.

Re: Scott Burton - what happened?
I met the Burtons last year when they raced with us at one of the Midwest Class Racers events at Thunder Valley. Nice people and very successful racers. Wishing Scott all the best.

Re: Scott Burton - what happened?
Thank you Alan for posting the picture. Sends a chill down my spine seeing the damage. If you notice the main part of the car seems to be o.k. The report at the track was that Scott was out of the car and O.K.
The 1st round was to have been run at 4 p.m. but due to delays was run after 5. I had to leave for home and did not get to see or talk with Scott afterwards. Looks like the main part of the car is o.k. and the safety gear did it's job. The best part of this whole deal - Scott is O.K.
