Truck Weight Distribution
Those with trucks in S and SS, what are your weight distributions?
Right now I'm at 56 front/43 rear. I talked to Jerry Haas at an event and he said he liked 55/45 in PST. Curious what the functioning average is for a more stock-based platform. |

Re: Truck Weight Distribution
A lot depends on wheelebase and crank centerline height .
Shorter wheebase and higher centerline can tolerate more weight bias to the front.

Re: Truck Weight Distribution
Talked to a guy with a S10 and he was 55 or 56 in the front.

Re: Truck Weight Distribution
My SS/GT truck was 45% on the rear. 90 lbs in rear crossmember, 30 on inner frame in front of pass wheel, 30 above rear in bed and two 16v batts in right rear corner.

The build is still in progress, but this gives me an idea of where to point. |
