Just purchased a 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Futura Sprint convertible and am looking for anyone who would have a numbers matching 260cid, 2bbl engine.

Thanks for you time.

Here is a link to the Falcon Club of America. Find a chapter in your region and they can probably help you. I don't do Facebook but there is a Falcon group too.

There are at least 3 complete engines near me,so if you live in Southern California you can have your pick.https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/...395934245.htmlhttps://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...394837125.html

The 64's have different heads , larger valves.
Is this a restoration project or do you have something else in mind.
Just curious. I have a 63 sprint hrdtp that my dad bought new in 63.

FYI. I just purchased a 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Futura Sprint Convertible (mia culpa to all my Chevy friends) with 54K miles on it. Totally rust free but the engine is apparently done for. There were only 4200 of these built and I am looking at doing an investment. When I bought it I was told that the heads, intake and 2bbl are original but they are setting on top of a 289. Just bought a 260 block out of Nevada and I have a company who is willing to built me an OEM engine.

I have not checked the casting numbers on the intake and heads yet.

So if all the engines that have been listed if they are not 63 260's probably would not be interested.

Thanks to you all for your input.

Head numbers aren't easy to see, they are underneath. With the intake off you can see them in a mirror under the end intake ports or water crossover. Date code is visible under the valve covers and should start with a 3 to be original. , ie: 3B22, etc.
Since the Sprint was a spring 63 introduction I doubt there are any 1962 castings and the 63 cars aren't built after August.

Really any 65 and earlier engine will look correct and the biggest 63 differences that a lot of cars are missing, are the valve covers and timing cover. It should have the oil filler on the timing cover and the valve covers with no holes. There would be a road draft tube on the back of the intake unless it was a California car.

I think it could be a killer in P/Stick!
