Wink Bigger than Indy?

Running a close 2nd to the excitement and tradition of The Big Go, the CanAm Stk/SS association will be holding their Labour Day weekend race in Cayuga at Toronto Motorsports Park. A shorter tow, road signs you can read, free BBQ on Saturday, and 100% pay out of all entry money collected! The last few years have seen this race attract more than 50 of some of the best built and preped stock and super stock cars around. Come out and join us for some great racing and good times.
Any questions can be sent to Fred Smith, info@smithperformance.com , or call (905) 772-5535

Race #9 results and Labour Day info.

Great summer weather greeted us for our 9th race at Joe DaSilva’s Canadian Street Car Nationals on Sunday, Aug 26.

After 5 rounds of racing, Chuck Nagy’s GT/TB GMC truck prevailed over the 2005 GT/AA Sunfire of Victoria Smith.
Thanks to Joe DaSilva for again inviting us to be a part of his race and for the lovely crystal trophies given to both the winner and runner-up.
Also, Chuck participated in the run-off for the Matco tool cabinet. He was close but came up just a little short of a win.

Upcoming is our biggest race of the season, the Can-Am Stock/SuperStock Labour Day Nationals.

We are, at present, finalizing details as the weekend fast approaches.
In addition to our regular awards, we will have special awards for first round “closest to the dial” , “best reaction time” sponsored by RaceCar Services, Welddare Metalworks Ltd, ERD,and Scugog Collision.
Also, our Tilburg "bounty hunter award" for Sunday and Dilts Piston Hydraulics award for "beat the points leader".
A leather jacket will go to the member with the highest total points for the weekend sponsored by Queenston Group Insurance. Other special awards are forthcoming.
There will be a free roast beef dinner Saturday night sponsored by Karbelt Pickering and Kevin Dundas in the tent supplied by JR and Monica Taylor of Drumbo Tent.
Also, many draw prizes have been donated to share with the entrants.

Here is a link to the TMP/DSE proposed schedule. www.sportsmanracingseries.ca

We look forward to seeing you all as well as many that have not raced much this year to come out and enjoy a great weekend of racing, Can-Am Stock/SuperStock style.

See you soon.
