Question Rochester 2 barrel question

Came across a Rochester 2 barrel (a large one) with number 7040136 on it. Carb is all original. Anybody have an application, and is it a 1.250" or a 1.375" dia. venturi?

Hi Greg, 7040136 (according to the book that I have) is a non-California 350 Chevy-Nova-Chevelle carb. It should be a 1.250 venturi carb.

Cool Re: Rochester 2 barrel question

Thanks. It's something somebody was selling, not what I'm looking for. Think I'll pass. Thanks for the tech tip.

If it's a 70 carb, (4th digit) for a 350, wouldn't it be a 1.375 venturi?

You would think so, but until I get it and measure it, I wouldn't know for sure. I haven't seen it in person,so it's not a sure thing. If anybody has one and could verify it, it would be nice.

Cool Re: Rochester 2 barrel question

This carb comes with a #313 2 barrel intake, carb and intake BOTH for $40.00. It's on Ebay. The catch is that the seller won't ship, it's in Cave Creek, Az,and listed for Local Pickup Only. He just dropped the price from $55. I don't really need it, and the 380 mile one way drive from Glendora, Calif offsets the deal. Some 2 barrel guy really should get this.
