Re: Modified Eliminator Wars in the 70's
Leal Duster core support, front inner fenders, firewall and front half of floor are in and being finish welded (all TIG). Spare tire well will be replaced next before it comes off of the rotisserie. After a few more days of welding and grinding it goes straight to our body and paint guy.
Even though this car was all white when new, it will follow Chrysler's build dictate where by the entire shell gets painted black and then the exterior of the body only (not the engine compartment, door jambs, trunk, wheel wells etc.) will receive the final finish.

Re: Modified Eliminator Wars in the 70's
Pat Hennebery's 68 Camaro he use to run in H/MP back in 69/70 (Later as a C/SM) has been "restored" back to it's former 6 Cylinder glory. With basically the same combination he ran except now with a Jerico 4 speed, we will be taking to the NETO event tommorow at Island Dragway in NJ.
The face lift included the "Six Fiend" logo with new H/MP class letters. We will be match racing Clem LaChances "Mad Frenchman" (Now owned by Kevin Bleakly since Clem's passing) 6 cylinder Maverick at the Sept 26 Dover Dragstrip reunion event at Lebanon Valley. More to come. Will Lamprecht 65 Impala I/SA 396/325 |
