Default Car counts higher than ever as TNTSS heads to DTRP!

Scott Jahren Paint presents mid-season event this Friday!

As the midway point in the season approaches, the battle for the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series points championship is tighter than ever with the top ten separated by less than 70 points.

The most popular sportsman drag racing series in the northeast will see the best of the best competing this Friday June 29th at Dunn Tire Raceway Park in Lancaster NY, presented by Scott Jahren Paint.

"Scott has been supporting the series since it began in 2006," said Ted Barnes, TNTSS Director. "Not only is Scott an event sponsor, he also pays contingency at every race!"

Car counts have been very strong at the first five races with upwards of 32 cars. "The most likely reason for that is the increased payouts in the TNTSS this year along with the added contingency program," added Ted. "We haven't had a race pay less than $700 to win yet this year!"

Current points leader J.J. Jablonski has been on a roll of late - making it to the final at three of his last four races and winning two of them. David Surmatchewski sure felt it when he got bumped to second place and Mark Herbold is right there in third. Last year's Rookie of the Year, Harry Phelps has been steadily climbing in the standings, currently sitting fourth and rounding out the top five is Larry Pulver.

Gates open at 3pm on Friday with qualifying at 5pm. Go to www.dunntireracewaypark.com to learn more or visit www.tntsuperseries.com for everything you need to know about getting involved in the best drag racing series in the country.

And if one day of racing isn't enough for you, head over to Cayuga Dragway on Saturday and Sunday where the DSE Sportsman Series has added a Super Gas class this weekend.
