Re: Live from Gainesville
Well I was fortunate enough to get thru the 1st round yesterday so we went out with friends for some GREAT Mexican food at Las Margarita's and it was good. The race today will be a marathon with 75 cars in S/St and the field is loaded with hitters so if your lucking enough to win this one you've really done something. The schedule I believe is to start a 9am with Jrs then S/St and the rest of the rotation good luck to all and remember to tune in to Dragracertv.com for all the live action.

Re: Live from Gainesville
Well second round Steven Town only left me .013 to get inside and I didn't do it so my race is over. Congrats to the winners and R/Us in S/St Jimmy Daniel over Jeffery Weets in SG Cole Cummings over Travis Giddens and SC Ray Miller III over Sherman Adcock.

Re: Live from Gainesville
Good Job to all the winners, I heard over 600 cars were in attendance for this race and that is quite an accomplishment. Lots of D1, D3 and D4 Cars making the tow.
Yes, it is ashame to see the stands so empty but, when you don’t promote / market a race except to racers it’s hard to get a crowd. I know the argument will come up “who wants to see the .90 cars”...well the stock/SS board always has one person but, watching it on YouTube was great and some great racing. The Alky classes were great to watch, 16 cars for 8 spots and Stk / SS was great to watch and the Top classes were a blood bath. Good luck to all this weekend at the Gators!! |

Re: Live from Gainesville
There were actually a decent amount of fans in the stands on sat/sunday. You have to realize how big the grandstands actually are here.
