Default "Live From" Gatornationals Double Header

I know, its only Sunday.... We were at the NMRA race down in Bradenton and our race was done on Saturday so we headed up the road. There are about 25 rigs inline, we are being stacked in the usual place.

I am not sure when they will be pulling us in, I think they said Tuesday. Its very warm today, but by mid week there will be a cool front coming in with overnight lows in the 30's.

As soon as I get more info I will post.

Hello all, not much happening today. We did have to move our rigs to create a fire lane. As you can see from the photos they got us pretty tight. There are about 50 rigs in line now and as always there is plenty of maintenance going on.

We move in tomorrow.

Its a cold morning, 47* at the moment. It just started to sprinkle, but the rain should move out by noon. There are a 100 plus rigs here and the gates are supposed to open at noon.

We will miss you James, I hope to see you back soon.

From the Div 2 website.....

Parking/Schedule Update - BABY GATORS

Based on current weather conditions (Tuesday, March 5th, 10am) in Gainesville, Florida parking will not begin today. We will be in a holding pattern until tomorrow, Wednesday. A time to open parking has not been established as of yet. We need to give the ground as much time as possible to recover from the current rain conditions before haulers are moved in to their pit areas.

Delaying parking until Wednesday will also force the cancellation of Wednesday’s Test-N-Tune. In review of the long range hourly forecast, Thursday morning temperatures will not be conducive for on-track activity. Therefore there will not be a Thursday morning Test-N-Tune either.

The event is still slated to begin Thursday afternoon at 12:00pm with Q1 of Stock followed by Super Street, Q1 of Super Stock, Super Comp, Q2 of Stock, Super Gas, and Q2 of Super Stock.

Thanks for the update Ken and good move by Rich and his D2 team, conducting a test & tune in marginal conditions usually results in dissatisfied customers who view it as just a money grab. I have an appointment Thursday morning so hopefully I can make it down in time for Q2. Apparently Friday morning arrivals can't participate in class eliminations and just get a Q3 shot at some point of the day.

Turnout should be great, looking forward to it.

Update.....

Planning on starting parking for the Baby Gators at 9am on Weds morning. Going to be chilly. But this sunlight we're getting now is at least helping dry things up. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Stock, SuperStock please get through tech tomorrow and turn in those tech cards so we can get that info in the timing system. Remember, the ladders cannot be right if we don't have the tech cards to put you in the proper class.
