Big news this week… and some thoughts
The next concern I have is “Are we racing for the money or the trophy.”

Re: Big news this week… and some thoughts
I don't think it has that much of an effect on the local tracks. I can think of ten cars that race with us locally spread out over the three tracks we all race at being gone for one weekend. Not a big deal. The car counts are effected more by which track is paying more or having a ''two day'' race ect. 600 entries is probably a number represented by the amount of bracket racers who feel they can spare or risk three to five grand once or twice a year to win big. A very small percentage but more than enough to support the big bucks races. I hope they all thrive and continue to grow.

Re: Big news this week… and some thoughts
I don't think there are any tracks around us here in Florida that actually race every weekend any more. Back years ago Bradenton, Sunshine Speedway and Orlando had bracket racing every Friday, Saturday and sunday. Not so much anymore. Test and Tune has become the backbone for the local tracks. Pay your money and run down the track as many times and the time will allow. The track does not have to pay any purse just put the money in their pocket. Track prep for these type things is minimal so not much good for a serious racer to test on. mostly the street car gang. I doubt that the real big money bracket races will effect the local stuff. That seems to be dyeing on its own. I haven't been to a real bracket race in years. One of the most active tracks in Florida is Immokalee. They do quite a bit there including quick 16 and some fast door car stuff

What does this thread you started with a link another website have to do with "Discussions dedicated to NHRA and NMCA Stock / Super Stock" other than advertising you?

Andy, I shouldn't have said that. We all have our own accomplishments in life. What I think John was getting at was the money/trophy thing not whether it was in Class or Bracket racing.
