Default Gear recommendations

I have a 69 nova weighing 3100lbs with a 572 crate engine using a TH400 with a Dana 60 and a 4.10 gear. I have a 2 speed PG with a 1.80 gear set I want to try in the car. I was thinking of using a 4.56 gear but was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations for a gear ratio when switching from a 3 speed to a 2 speed? Some racers I have talked to said go up about 2 ratios. I'm only going to be running 1/8 mile. Right now I'm running 6.05 @ 113 mph and crossing at 6000 rpm. Thanks

Just trying to be more consistent for bracket racing. We use a glide in our 66 Chevy 2 and it will run the same number all day long. Figured I would give it a try just having to shift once instead of twice. If it doesn't work out can always put the 400 back in.

Been running a turbo400 in my race cars for 25 years. I'll put my car against any back halved door car for consistency/repeatability.

I also have a 69 Nova, 3100 lbs, 509bbc. I have a Powerglide with a 1.80 first gear. I run a 4.56 gear, with a 14x32 Hoosier bias ply tire. Car is 1/4 mile car but has been as fast as 5.90s in the 1/8, usually in the 6.0-6.15 range 113-116mph. I shift mine at 7000 and go through the lights (1/4 mile) at 7300-7400.

A 4.56 is 11% increase so 6000 becomes 6660 at the same MPH
If it has the correct converter the glide should be about as quick as the 400 it's lighter and has less rotating mass than a 400 . It has one less gear but tends to get more out of the converter.
Both are capable of being consistent but the glide will launch jus a bit softer and you have one less shift so?

Thanks for the info, looks pretty much like the same set up as mine so I think the 4.56 gear will be a good choice for my combo.
