Default Rod weights

Anyone know where I can find SB mopar factory rod weights? I thought that the Eagle SIR rod was legal for SB. Only CAT for stock?

Post Re: Rod weights

Log in and look up the specs for the engine you need. http://www.classracerinfo.com/
All the approved Mopar small block rods seem the same, even for a 273. SIR isn't legal and is lighter than the 755g minimum anyway. But I think they weigh the rod, piston, rings & bearings as an assembly with the minimum weights added together.

Eagle H-beam is probably the most common. Can't one polish down OEM rods to save weight? Lighter 273/318 & the standard 318/340/360 rods?

I've looked at those specs for some time now and never saw it. Always went directly to superseded part weight. Aren't the factory 318 rods post 1976... lighter and stronger than the older ones? I also thought that the later 318 internally balanced cast cranks lighter and stronger?
