Personally I would talk to Kenny Faulk about all that.
Faulk Automotive in Memphis. Good guy, straight shooter. Married to a lady he doesn't deserve, but that's another story.

Re: A/SA -C/SA car and engine questions
Find someone nearby running a late model ABC car you have confidence. Then search out complete cars and find one you're comfortable with.If you have $25K and up for an initial investment you're good to go.Otherwise maybe ABC isn't for you.
Speed costs $$$$$$.

Jimmy Parker build some nice cars as well, Jimmy is a member here on the boards.
There are a couple of those cars for sale, as mentioned the Hidalgos have one, I think the Gaynors had one, and may still have it.

Re: A/SA -C/SA car and engine questions
You beat me to it, Jeff. I knew it was coming out but wasn't sure when.
If you want to go fast and have a class winner right out of the box and not spend a whole bunch of money, look in this weeks ND and call McClanahan. The car is really nice and that's a hell of a good deal. I don't think you will find a better buy for the money anywhere. It's a Firebird, not a Camaro.
