Lyn -
If you clean the parts well, Rustoleum brush on works as well and you can buy it in pints. (And comes in a variety of colors!)

The Eastwood brand is much thinner than original GE glyptal. .......I dont think the adheasion is as good either . .....I have a block I painted with GE Glyptal 35 years ago when I worked for GE apparatus service div. and it has held up much better than newer blocks painted with the Eastwood paint................I used to take that stuff home by the gallon! ....It was actually intended for painting and insulating electrical windings and high voltage connections.........Is it still available from Grainger? ..I havent seen it in the catalogue. ..............Tom

Lyn,
It's only available in Qt. or spray can these days. Here's link to best price and service I've found. Copy and paste in browser bar.

You might also try this link - http://www.glyptal.com for a list of distributors of the paint in the US and Canada.

Eastwoood has it for sale on eBay for 38.99

The glyptal website lists several dealers, however Grainger is not on the list.
http://www.glyptal.com/Distributor.htm

Their product page shows part # 1201B which is a higher solid, higher viscosity version.
http://www.glyptal.com/Glyptal_Product_Data_Sheets.htm

EIS has the 1201 for $36.41 and the 1201B for $38.25 per quart.
