Racepak SC1000
Good afternoon. My car came with a Racepak SC1000. I've never used a data logger, so I'm pretty clueless. I do know it's an old unit. I'm not quite ready to upgrade, as I'd rather spend money on making the car race ready and safe. Anyone have input on this unit? I assume very basic when compared to the new stuff today. I emailed the PDS folks about it, but haven't heard back yet.

Re: Racepak SC1000
I spoke with him today. SC1000 is one he doesn't service or have info on. Apparently it's a fairly obsolete unit. He referred me to Performance Data Systems. I emailed them a few days ago already and haven't heard back. Called today, so hopefully I'll get a call back.
Thanks for the referral. I'm sure I'll find info on it sooner or later. Or possibly upgrade to a modern unit. Once I've addressed the cars needs, I'll see about working that into the racing budget.

Re: Racepak SC1000
Just spoke with Todd at Performance Data Systems. He's confident he can get me up and running with this unit. Thanks again, and have a great week.

Re: Racepak SC1000
FYI those units are 32 bit. To run them you'll need an old laptop that's still 32 bit (like windows XP old) of you'll have to set up a 32 bit virtual machine on your newer 64 bit laptop to run it.

Re: Racepak SC1000
Todd Payton and all the staff at PDS are incredible. I wouldn't use anyone else for RACEPAK stuff. If you have team viewer Todd or someone on his staff will dial in and walk you through everything. Good luck.

Re: Racepak SC1000
I have one memory cartridge here. Pretty sure there's more stashed away. I need to go back through some of my brothers things next time I'm at my parents place. Long story, but since he passed in 2016, things got pretty tough for my parents. Pop passed and Mom had alzheimers, and had a habit of moving things and losing them. It wouldn't surprise me to find a tv remote in the washing machine. Keeping track of stuff was a challenge. I do remember a small laptop my brother had that came with this unit as well, just need to find it. Thanks for the info, I may be interested in them if I don't find what should be at moms house.
