sad to report we lost dick st peter yesterday he was a great racer in div 6

Sorry to hear that news. Dick was a very well known racer here in the Northwest. R.I.P. Dick.

If my memory works right, Dick was mostly a Modified Production racer. Someone correct me if that is not quite right.

Correct, a white Chevy Nova that i believe ran G/MP.

Dick was the first to build the 4 plus 1 5 speed in Modified Eliminator. Won several National events and Divisonal races. Dick towed from Seattle to Gainesville to race once. He owned his own machine shop for years. There was not much Dick did not build himself on any of his race cars.

My first 5 speed was a Nash unit. Dick St Peter was the go to guy for shifters at that time with his retrofitted Hurst Super Shifter which is what I was using. He was the guy who figured out how to make all of that stuff work.
