Here's a shot of my old 70 Duster... It started out as a SS car... Over the years and different owners it ended up as a bracket car and was that when I bought it... Previous owners put glass fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid on it... Glass had been changed but still had the factory floorboards... Mostly ran 1/8 mile until I moved into the Gainesville area. First pass with the 456 gear it ran a 9.95 @ 128... Didn't have the chassis cert. done or any of the driver safety equipment for going that fast and got ask not to run anymore till I got legal!!! Best time was a 9.85 @ 130...... Engine was a 340 with a stroker crank to 396". W2 Steel heads and an offenhouser intake... The car sounded like a bb car... I won more money on it was a sb car than I did racing it..... Sold it 5 or 6 years ago and its in Pa today still racing .... I do miss this ride......

I've owned nine A Bodies over the years, the best of which was built by Roy Johnson for Tim Neal who ran IHRA Super Stock with it for many years. I ran a W2 motor that was actually in Roy's Challenger when Allen won his very first National event at Bristol. I've lost track of where the car is now (Middle Tennessee I believe), wish I could find it again, it won a ton of races and was the undoubtedly the best car I've ever owned. Including a picture of it as it ran in 10.90 mode...
