Re: 1974 Dodge Monaco
We made it!!!! Developed a serious front end problem so just nursed it through the course to make the 9 day finish. It was a HUGE hit along the way and at every stop. Thousands of photos taken including 4 pull overs by police for the same. Jake

Re: 1974 Dodge Monaco
Looks like a TQ carb. What year 440 had 375HP with a TQ? I think the 440 first got the TQ in 1973, and had lower compression ratio by then and net HP rating. I want to say they were rated closer to 250 HP, but I never paid much attention to the post 1971 engines. I could afford that.

Re: 1974 Dodge Monaco
James, you are right. 275 I think was the cop motor in 74. However, we have bored it 30 and have the six pack setup for pistons. It will be built to the 69 375HP specs. Just a nice steel crank "E" HP block Great Race motor. Check out the young Penguin reading the Firm Feel suspension specs. PS. You want some nice Mopar suspension stuff, use Firm Feel.
