Default Always Good to Hear These Things

Always good to hear a race track re-opening no matter the venue. JMT.

I agree. Wish it was a nicer facility. We have been there a few times.

I can't find it but I thought I saw somewhere that the new owners were doing some improvements.

Back in the late '70's, we ran at Tyler & Hallsville, TX. Paris was also running at that time. It's only about a hundred miles North of Tyler, but we never made it up there.

More than half the tracks we use to run, have long since been gone. I can think of at least 8.

Bracket racing allowed most of the small tracks to stay open for many years. And, obviously, most of the tracks today would fold, if not for bracket racing.

Hallsvile was a good track. The Hall family put on a good safe race and cared about the racers. Loved the winter series races. Cold air good track and lots of out of division cars there to set records. Miss the good old days.

Always liked Hallsville. Shut down would test your brakes.
People were always very nice.
