Thank you thread for my Dime Rocket Olds project
I want to give a great big thank you to all the people that helped me with my 88 Olds Wagon U/SA dime rocket build.
It his been along time project due to everything in life getting in the way. In no particular order. Jerry Ryan you helped me with guidance on what I should do to engine and with parts and told me it can be done. Joe Elias you answered every question throughout the engine build and gave me a ton of tips and we have only met once and yet your were so kind in helping. I struggled with items on engine build and you guided me every time. Mark Yacavone for giving the info to make a Metric 200 live. This was my very first automatic transmission build I have ever done. You were even on vacation and stopped to send pictures and instructions. Also for finding converter to try and now I need to pay for converter to Chin Brothers Racing. Keith at Total Seal. convinced me of a ring package United Engine and Machine for having pistons in stock. Basic Silvolite stuff but working great. Bullet Camshaft for sending a proven cam that works WFO Engine and Machine did all the machine work I requested and at a very large discounted rate. Arizona Differential Specialists. A local rear end shop that helped me with a 12 bolt housing cheap after I bought one from and Oldsmobile and it was wrong. Chuck Norton answered all of my questions from when he had a Olds Kenny Miracle with advice on rockers, pushrods Billy Nees. In the beginning of this project you let me know this was a great combo and to stick with it. Ebay great used part speed shop Craigslist another used parts speed shop Also all you guys that gave me positive remarks on the build . It helped allot on moving forward. I may be only .34 under after 5 passes, yet everything I have tested or changed has made the car faster. It is only the start and will keep going as my goal was .85 under index that Im sure I can reach. Tuning, radial tires, adjust converter will get me to my goal. Thank you to everyone Jeff Stout |

BUT...... Yours IS under the index already. I'm still .5 Over with mine but when I started it was 1.1 over. Trying more new stuff the next few weeks. Keep at it!! (I say as I look in the mirror.)

Re: Thank you thread for my Dime Rocket Olds project
No, it never came with a "W". I can run it in G with a 4bbl 351C or claim it as a 71 and run D with a 429CJ. .... More Money ......I'll stick with the 2bbl.Cleveland. (NOT pronounced Clevo!!!)
