Default 142 tooth starter question

Has anyone ever put a 142 tooth flywheel on a BBC or SBC and put the starter in the stock(passenger side) location?. I quickly looked at it and maybe the starter can be moved in the needed amount. Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

Dave,
Rob @ Advanced Clutches now has a 142 tooth flywheel that will work in a stock location (chevy) starter. The starter is being developed by Meziere. I spoke to Rob yesterday and he already has a few of these flywheel & clutch assemblies on order. I made an inquiry with Meziere yesterday about getting a starter for my AMC to use the same 142 tooth starter.

Dave,

The 142 starter has been done by GPE Competition Starters for several years, we custom build for any application and would be happy to assist. If you have any more questions give us a call at 405-340-8986.
Thanks, Greg

FYI, I purchased a custom GPE starter for a 142t flywheel. Both Meziere and Tilton didn't want anything to do with it. GPE had it to me in about a week! I think it's a 4HP motor and it was $400.00. The starter gear is BIG!

I looked around and could only find Tilton who did a 142 tooth starter for the left hand drivers side, when using a full length dry sump kickout on the passengers side. So GPE is the other who can?
