Re: Buybacks????
i can't speak for anyone else. simply my own input. im happy for all that summit is doing for sportsman racing...don't get me wrong. but this just seems to go against the grain.

ALL I CAN SAY , DOING STATS IT SUCKS!!!!
I have been working on the IHRA stats and its bad enough the way i have to do their stats compared to NHRA now this darn Buy back stuff, I'm going to start drinking again. Ask Ralph & Rich, they have watched me do ihra stuff. |

Re: Buybacks????
I think I would rather see some sort of a consolation race. I was at VMP and didn't do the re-entry race.

I vote " NO" buy-backs/re-entries or whatever you want to call it. Like i said before only have re-entry if car count is too low.(have a min car count for re-entry)

Re: Buybacks????
Travis,
Maybe you should come out more. You don't have to use the re-entry option if you don't want to. If enough people would show up instead of complaining IHRA would not need this option to pay the $5,000 to win. Maybe eveyone should thank IHRA for going out on a limb to pay this kind of money. Re: Buybacks????
TW,
Why are you so down on Re-Entry/BB? Give me a real reason besides "It's the Principal" If you want to go back to the way it was "Back in the day" , we all would be racing for trophys with a flag drop. Efverything evolves to a higher level and Buybacks may be what it takes for IHRA to survive. Nothing "Friday nightlights" about the 2 sportsman spectacular races IHRA put on this year. Caliber of competition and quality of equipment was awesome. Chip |

Re: Buybacks????
I am not a fan of buybacks either, but I still attended the event to support IHRA and have some fun racing as well. I do not understand why "NHRA" racers do not attend IHRA events even though the races are trying to address some of the complaints of racers.
This was a rebuilding/testing year for me, unfortunately I did not attend many IHRA events and stayed local. In 2012 I will be out full tilt and look forward to what IHRA has to offer next. |
