Re: neil vaccarro, geo. smith, carl juliano
Queens is getting back to normal (except for the Rockaways and Howard beach). Nassau County is not as lucky, LIPA has not restored power to all homes, tree damage is extensive. And as far as Long Beach goes, thats a total loss, looking at a total restoration there. Its gonna take a very very long time for them to recover. Things will get better, just gonna take a while.
We got 6 inches of snow down here, but its all gone thanks to the warm temps. I've met electric crews from Canada, Tennessee, N. Carolina working in North Nassau.

Carl,
Glad to know that things are getting back to "normal" up in the NY area. I talked to a few friends and fellow racers on the island who said some area's are just destroyed and will basically have to be leveled and re-built. Just a sad thing to see on the TV, we got extremely lucky down here in South Jersey and I say my Lucky Prayers everyday. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving....we really do need to give extra Thanks for all we have because as we just found out, it can be gone in a second! Rob Keister 1198 Super Gas |
