Charlie Ford, shame on you! From reading this post, I think you're trying to get people to think you take baths! I know the way you're luck has been running, with showing up at the Rusk ,Texas points meet with a broken leafspring and almost winning the meet, I wouldn't take a chance on changing my luck by taking a bath.
Good luch for the Charlie Ford clan at Topika! John Duzac

Hey, John, that's us old racer's mentality. I haven't showered or shaved since Rusk. I was asking in Austin's behalf. I may be out on the "Stakehouse" though. On my limited budget, I don't take him to places like that unless somebody else is paying!!
I think we'll stop every 50 miles or so and make sure the motor & tranny are where they belong!!

Hey Charlie, wish I could afford to join yall in Topeka, yall could use my shower. I know how ya need to keep Austins a@@ clean, between him & David, somebody has to look out for them. Good luck, see ya at Lufkin or Shreveport.

Sometimes the words in the rulebook are hard for me to understand. I'll look up all the words in the big book on the shelf so I know what they mean. I just dont understand how they can be changed four hours before eliminations. Larry |

Yea, Bob, I don't know who's the bad influence on who as far as Daivid & Austin. David's not going to Topeka so maybe I can get Austin to concentrate on racing!!
Thanks for the info guys. Larry, was that your old car you had out at BG??

Charlie, It was my old 71 Charger with the six pac motor. We were about 70 lbs. to heavy for top stock, but still had a good time being the slowest. I only got it to 125 mph, we need to find 30 Hp to have a chance. Maybe the Div. 1 style top stock will catch on down in your part of the world.
Woody came to win and he won big. 10.25 off the gas is a very good run. Have a safe trip and good luck! Larry |
