Mooresville is narrow compared to some 1/8 mile track's. But Donnie does a good job keeping up the track surface and the staging lanes are down hill got to like that. My uncle Glenn built the track in 59. Uncle Mac and JP raced the first year said it was dirt. Then came the pavement but the shut down was still dirt. Then pavement all the way. I remember when there were no guardrails just a ditch and the time clocks were these big round clock looking things and just vaguely remember the guy starting you with the flags. A lot has changed over the years but at least its still running.
