2014 SSSSA Elections

For the next two weeks I will be accepting nominations for the Board positions of:

President
Vice President
Secretary/ Treasurer
Race Director

Nominations will be accepted and placed here until December 18, 2013 at midnight. Voting will start December 19, 2013 at 8am. Please place nominations either by adding them to this thread or by emailing me at jimwahl@embarqmail.com. Please make sure whomever you nominate is willing to serve and put in the time required.

Please note that Jim Woods will not accept a position in the SSSSA due to his promotion with the IHRA. DO NOT NOMINATE JIM FOR ANYTHING!

I nominate Tommy Ward Jr. for V.P. and Jim Wahl for President. Also Tommy Ward Jr. for Secretary/Treasurer. Its been fun being part of the Association, however my schedule dictates more time than I have I will still contribute from behind the scenes when I can.Good luck to everyone in 2014.

Well since there were no other nominations and there was only one nomination per office there is no need for an election. Your SSSSA Officers for the 2014 season will be:

President,
Jim Wahl

Vice President,
Tommy Ward Jr.

Secretary/Treasurer,
Tommy Ward Jr.

Race Director,
Tom Ward Sr.

Basically the only change is that Tommy Ward Jr. has taken on the two positions of VP and Sec/Tres. With the promotion of Jim Woods to the IHRA Division 2 Director it left that position open. Tommy is the glue that keeps this organization together and has been for several years. I have no doubt he will do a fine job in both positions.

Volunteers! We always need volunteer workers at the races to help out with various jobs such as Tech, Staging, E.T. Slips and Cooking! Don't be shy, step up! If your car is down that doesn't mean you can't come out and help. Volunteer workers, you might be able to get in to the races free! You must call me and make arrangements before hand.
Thanks to Merrill and Tom Trippy for cooking at the last race of the season at Lakeland. Jim
