Question Hard-Tail Dragster Battery Recommendations?

My just 3-year old Optima Red Top 800 CCA crapped out (like a switch was flipped on it) Sunday to knock me out while in the lanes heading into E3. Not Happy. Looking for recommendations for a 12-volt replacement. I know Optima specifies vibration resistance but, they're probably not the only one. I know there's a lot of guys on the 16-volt program but, not ready to make that switch at this point. Odyssey looks like one to consider but, do you need their charger to or???

As always, all replies are appreciated!

Thanks!
-Don

I would look at the Braille ! I was working in the lanes on Sat and saw what happened ! Not a good way to loose a race ! I also noticed that Amanda tried to wait for you ! Nice to see stuff like that !

The best place I have found to buy Odyddey batteries: Batterymart.com

If you want less weight do not buy the MJ series (metal jacket). Your other question was about chargers, I do have their charger. Here is a list of approved chargers for their batteries.

This is good info about using the correct charger for the battery. The days of using the repair garage type charger is long gone. I recommend using the same brand of charger as the battery. That way if you do have an issue, they can't say you used the wrong charger.
