Cool Holley Carbs

#1 #3310-2 780cfm vac secondery dual feed. Under the list no. is the #3087 , and just off the side of the booster is a knob or bump sticking that was cast that way from factory. Maybe i don't know the correct name for that knob or whatever it is but i've been told that they came only on 396's or 427,454 high perf cars . Any Help ? #2Holle y list #1616 under list no letters EDG-E appears to be old ford vac, sec 4bbl,singlefeed, side hung bowls. Must be pretty old as it has the HOLLEY on the front & rear of the carb Anybody got any ideas as to what these came off of? Thanks in advance John Lang #365 SS,&365 Stk.

3310-2 is an aftermarket carb.
1616 is off a 1958 Merc 383 engine.

Dwight, I know that some chevy's came from the factory with the H/P packages that had this carb , but only the factory cars had this particular cast in bump next to the passenger side primary booster, so i was told. Thanks for the reply, John Lang also known as Hemihead or old Geezer!

John, The number 3087 you are refering to is the date code of the carb.

Up through the end of 1972 Holley used a 3 digit date code telling year, month, and week of month carb was produced. As an example, 982 would read as 1969, August, and built during the second week.

From the beginning of 1973 Holley used a 4 digit date code telling the day of the year and the year.

Your example of 3087 reads as the 308th day of 1977, 1987, or 1997.

Hope this helps.

John,
I think I have a 3310-2 at the shop that has the same booster wings you are talking about. I have always thought it came off 70' something Fords. HP 429 or 460? I think it had a Ford part # on it too. I'll be able to go to the shop on Tuesday & I will dig it out. It's one of those things that seems to hang around the shop & never leave, till your looking for it! HA!

A 3310-2 is a Model 4160 holley whereas a 3310 is a 4150 model carb--- suttle differences in power valves, secondary activation( vacuum vs. mechanical) and jetting with a removable jet block in the secondary vs. a fixed plate, double pump vs. single pump etc.... cfm ratings are the same for both carbs hope this hellps you out--- Comp 387
