Default Rule Addition- breakage

If a racer breaks before our first qualifier he or she may ask for and recieve a refund. This must be done immediately at the event.See Joe or myself for the refund.
If a racer breaks his or her entry on the first qualifier they will not recieve a refund, period. The racer will be assigned a drawn number and put on the ladder and his or her opponent will recieve a single.

Glad you guys cleared this up for all of us, it's a tough thing to break no matter when it happens. At least now everyone is clear on this issue. Thanks Joe

I am all for this stock/super stock combo, but as you may or may not know I have not attended one yet this year, that is because I am broken. Ok, this makes no sense to me, who is going to show up broken. It seems to me you are going to break something during qualifying not driving up to the staging lanes. I realize it's your show, and you can make the rules the way you see fit, but I don't see how someone is going to break when they haven't made a pass down the track, unless it is some freak thing or they are running in brackets too. Just my chump change thought ...

Chuck,

I believe a couple made runs with the pro bracket class, but a couple others broke after the first qualifying pass and then wanted their money back. I think that is what happened at Mt. Vernon.

Chris,
I can understand that, what I don't understand is if you broke and can't make first round why should you be penalized by not getting your money back. A good friend of mine went to an IHRA event in Clay City, broke the motor on the first qualifying pass, they gave him his money back for his entry and his crew guy .. seems fair to me ..
