Re: transmission shield required is stock
I asked Pat at NHRA the same question but didn't hear back. I would think so. I've tried the CSR on my old Super Stock car. Not user friendly at all. You end up cutting something to make it fit on a A-Body Mopar anyway. I've gone 440 B/SA in my Dart so I figure the CSR is worse with it. Scared to spend 500.00 to find out.

Re: transmission shield required is stock
A steel shield is good for 5 years. A blanket is good for 2 years.

Re: transmission shield required is stock
I was able to use a CSR shield on by 67 Belvedere but had to do two things . To fit the shield to the trans , I had to cut quite a few bosses off the trans case . The shield fits like a glove , So I have it on the trans before I install it into the car . I have to let the engine tilt down in the back or I can't get at the top two bolts . I did trim back the flange where the trans tunnel to the firewall hangs down , then after the trans is bolted up to the engine , I jack it into place and install the trans crossmember . Its tight but it all fits . I wished that CSR would clearance the shield for the ProTrans band adjustment , and change where the buckle is for the strap , because its is wedged up in the trans tunnel , just move it down a few inches . Glad they are finally making the shields again , they were out of stock for almost a year .
