cooling system anti-corrosion products
Racers,
Since we are not supposed to run anti-freeze, let’s talk about cooling system anti-corrosion products. For the last 10 years or so I have used distilled water and assorted “anti-corrosion, cooling enhancing” type products. Let me hear what some of you are using. Thanks www.woodfinautomotive.com

Re: cooling system anti-corrosion products
Jegs sells a zinc that screws in the radiator where the drain **** goes. I have had one in my car since 95 along with the cooling additives and have not seemed to have a problem with corrosion. (alum heads with steel block)
EDIT Was just out in the shop and looked while I was there the part number is 400-32060 and its made by flex a lite. I guess the stars in the post are because the board thinks thats a bad word sorry if I offended anybody I can asure you I did not mean to do so. Re: cooling system anti-corrosion products
Prestone makes a combination anti-corrosive and water pump lubricant. However, I also like the zinc bar that the corrosion in the system will attack instead of the engine/cooling system internals. The best thing is to never let corrosion start to begin with because there is noting on the market that will thoroughly clean a cooling system once corrosion has started.
