Default What does "NES" (No Engine Specifications) mean...

...in the classification tool?

Does it mean that the car is classified by the manufacturer's claimed horsepower, does it mean that it's not eligible for competition, or what?

I was looking at the '92-'97 "Aero" Ford Crown Victoria 4-door sedan with the 4.6 (281) V8, rated at either 190 or 210 horsepower.

If the manufacturer did not submit the engine specs for a particular combo, then that vehicle is not eligible for competition.

Look at the 96 Mustang, T-bird, Cougar, if you want to go that route.

I appreciate your smarts, Mark.

Are you saying that I should look up those cars to find the engine specs to classify the '92-'97 Crown Vic, or are you saying that the Crown Vic is not eligible and I should look at a different car?

There must be some spec that's slightly different in the big cars. You might be able to get it fixed if you had your heart set on a Crown Vic, for some reason. I was pointing out that it would be much easier to go with a body style that's already in the books.

Edit: 1995 Vic is in there @ 210 hp..Makes R/SA

Found it. P/Q/R. I'm guessing it wouldn't be tough to make weight. It's a big luxury car- probably comes with a lot of "spare parts" that can be left off.

Anybody run one? Stainless Works makes 1-5/8"x3" headers for it. Cams are available. I think they come with an 8.8.

There was a Cougar I think in O/SA at Bradenton NMCA..No. 1 Q. 11.88? I know nothing more about it and would want to check into it. Sound awful fast..Too fast, if you get my drift.

I get your drift.

Lord willing, I will only have to spend the next 3 years, 4 months, and 5 days making a living confronting people who don't play life by the rules...but who's counting...

That sucker was fast, with his 80 mm TB.

It was worth 1.2.
