Default A little help please...

Was wondering how to figure out what Pure Stock class a 2006 Charger R/T fits into?

Its hard to say because NHRA doesn't have a Classification Guide for any 2006 Mopars. As an example, however, the Guide for the 2007 Dodge Charger R/T [http://www.nhra.net/tech_specs/class.../2007DODGE.xls] shows the following :

11.68 factor, 345HP, 4031lb base weight. 120" WB, 5 speed automatic w/electronic OD

You can take the factor and compare it to the Pure Stock classes in the IHRA Rulebook [http://www.bluetoad.com/publication/?i=186944&p=1] to find your class.

The 2007 Charger R/T could run in D/PS (11.00 adjusted factor, 13.10 index) @ 3965lbs w/driver, or E/PS (12.00 adjusted factor, 13.40 index) @ 4310lbs w/driver.

Not being in the guide presents a problem for the 2006. If it is mechanically the same, (including casting numbers), it might be possible to change some bits & pieces to convert the car to a 2007.

Good luck if you do the build!
