Thumbs up Re: Engine / trans combo ?

Tom was this a 347 cu in with 3 -2 barrel carbs and a Hydramatic trans ? I had a 57 Olds with 3-2 barrell's it was called a J2 by Olds it also had a Hydramatic trans. Oldsmobile charged $83 for the J-2 option with the three-speed manual (or in the 98),[5] $314 dollars with the automatic

According to the book "Junior Stock" Drag Racing the Family Sedan by Doug Boyce, Lowe's '58 Pontiac was a fuel injected 338 horse 370.

This ones a Pontiac. I was wondering which brand it was so I dug around to see the difference.

I think Joe Jackson's mom raced a 57 or 58 Pontiac not sure if it was fuel injected or not. I remember seeing a picture of her with it and a trophy.

Tommy, There were several 58's that were competitive.
I've seen 4 bbl's , Tri-powers , and FI. Many switched back and forth too, adding to the confusion.
