Re: Race #3 At Orlando Speed World
Their website shows T&T and 'grudge' racing....flyer for the 25th doesn't mention the Association race which I suppose is just an oversight or preparing the flyer before it got scheduled. All part of Jim's challenges in keeping the association going....did find it interesting that Orlando claims NHRA sanctioning but isn't even listed on the D2 member track list any more. But D2 site isn't the most informative at times...
Hope there is a good turnout, sounds like I missed some good action at Bradenton.

It's still early in the year and things can change, but I've been hearing "rumors" from informed people that if things go well, Florida may become its own division. like NC!

Re: Race #3 At Orlando Speed World
That would be a good deal Myron, know the long tows to run Divisionals are hard on FL racers. I'm south of Savannah and it's 300 miles one way for me just to race at Orlando...

Re: Race #3 At Orlando Speed World
The listing on the track schedule for the May 25th race was just a miscommunication. The race is still on the 25th. Track says gates open at 12 noon.
Myron, I have heard the same thing about the Florida Division. Orlando IS still NHRA and will be at least for the rest of the season. From the horses mouth. Jim .

Re: Race #3 At Orlando Speed World
Why would you have the race at the same time a double divisional is going on at Atlanta. I would think some of the cars you might get will go there instead.

Re: Race #3 At Orlando Speed World
We worked very hard to come up with the schedule and make it work for the track. We do not anticipate losing more than a few cars due to Atlanta. It seems easy to just pick a date and say that's it. however we are not big enough to have a stand alone event and the track make money so our races are coordinated with a track program that already exists. Input from our members is greatly appreciated. We urge our members to consider running for officers and to get involved in scheduling, sponsors etc.Believe me it is always a challenge when trying to come up with a schedule that works for everybody. Good luck to everyone in the 2013 racing season .

Re: Race #3 At Orlando Speed World
Jim I just pulled it apart to look at it. If I'm back together I'll be there even though it's farther for me than Atlanta. Looks like he's got a race scheduled the next day so I can get some testing in.
Hope to see you there.
