Increased Divisional Payouts
This was just announced for D2. I'm hoping that all Divisions will be the same this year?
Purse/Entry Fee update for 2020 Southeast Division LODRS events. In 2020, the event winner checks will be increased in SST, SG, SC, Stk, SS by at least $500. (SST went up even more as we try to improve consistency between class payouts.). Some classes will see an increase for payouts in Rounds 5-6-7 where applicable. The 2020 increases are highlighted in yellow on the attached picture. Based on conversations with several racers over the last few years, the overall feedback was that if we raised purses, along with reasonable entry fees increases to cover it, that the bulk of it needed to be on the winning check. So that's what we did. The entry fee for all Lucas categories (not Jrs) at Division 2 events will be $180. https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ca&oe=5E972AC8 Dan Foley SC4698

Re: Increased Divisional Payouts
We can only hope the other Divisions will. It should be $2000.00 to win.

Re: Increased Divisional Payouts
Not trying to rain on the parade and glad to see D2 step up the payouts but, now you're making the same at D1 for divisional win and paying $10 more. D1 is $170 to win $1,500.

Re: Increased Divisional Payouts
The slightly higher semi and runner-up money for Super Stock and Super Comp are puzzling to me.
If the entry fee is the same and the car count is the same, the payout structure should be the same.

Re: Increased Divisional Payouts
Not to defer from what D2 is doing but, a local D2 Super Gas series could use a little support also. Chris Lewis does a great job with the SE Super Gas Association down there and pays out $1,500 to the winner / $500 Runner-Up for $100 entry at each race and $50 buybacks. Jim Perry won the championship this season and took home $4,000. The car counts haven't been the greatest but, he still pays out the cash. If anyone is looking for something to do in the off-season or during down time from the D2 schedule, I'd really take a look at this series

Re: Increased Divisional Payouts
From what I've seen, that is coming at the expense of a fairly significant entry increase AND the loss of 3rd round loser money. I don't know that the total racer payout is any greater than it used to be.

Right now I think he’s only doing Super Gas. The series took a downswing a few years back and Chris is working on trying to build the car counts back up. I’m sure if you approached him about SC & SST he’d be willing to maybe try it but, take it from someone who does all three it’s a lot of work. If you message me I’ll shoot you his number. Rob |
