Does anyone know what the weight break was for G/MP ? Would a 1955 Chevy have been able to compete with an approx 292ci SBC ?

Almost sure G/MP was 12.50-13.49 Pounds per Cubic Inch car would have had to weigh 3650 MIN with a 292 CI---We ran F/MP with 287---11.5 x 287 and min was 3300 if I remember and we always weighed 5-10 pounds over min
