Live from Lebanon Valley Dragway -NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Hi Gang - Its race # 3 here in Division One and this one will be different for sure .Because very bad weather is coming changes have been made to the schedule to insure we don't have to come back or finish at another track .Friday everyone will get their two hits as advertised and call it a day .But Saturday is where changes have been made .If you tech in Saturday morning you will not get a run but you will be put on the bottom of the ladder.Eliminations will start Saturday morning at 8 am sharp and will go until completion if at all possible because Sunday doesn't look good weatherwise.
Good moves on the part of our Division Director Dave Mohn - if you see him this weekend let him know your thoughts . Back a little later after test n tune .................

Re: Live from Lebanon Valley Dragway -NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Good morning members and guests - We here at Lebanon Valley were greeted at around 3 AM with rain showers that lasted till about a half hour ago .That standing water along with temps around sixty degrees are going to make this mornings 9 AM start next to impossible without the Sun .
Yesterdays test n tune went off without any hitches unless the 2600 ' DA counts - oh, and the humidity was very, very high also .But sunny and pleasant .Not record setting weather for sure and those testing were just getting used to the track etc - not trying to go fast . As you'll see from the pics its not pretty out this morning but we're hopeful for a better day .Yesterdays' ride here was no picnic but with some nice scenery.....later

Re: Live from Lebanon Valley Dragway -NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Good evening all - I'd love to tell you about all the great racing that went on today but the fact is I spent the day working on my combination .And I can report that great strides have been made as it went down the track today on its own power and didn't have to get tow'd back even once .
Next I'd like to talk about the first round ladders but there are none because tech is still open tomorrow morning and any Stock or S/S car that comes in will be put on the bottom of the ladder. Stock will be out first in the AM at 8:00 sharp .............. Here are a few old pics I came across from a few weeks ago.

Re: Live from Lebanon Valley Dragway -NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Good morning kids - In a little less than an hour we'll be starting eliminations starting with Stock .The forecast here isn't too bad this morning overcast and cool - much different than the last few days which should make dialing a real challenge .
On another note I forgot to tell you last night about the visit we have from the Glendora brass .Graham Light ( NHRA Senior Vice-President of Racing Operations ) stopped by for the weekend to see our grassroots track and visit with racers .It was good to see their interest in the Lucas Series as this is as grassroots as it gets . We just got a wake up call and a hurry-up over the PA ........

Re: Live from Lebanon Valley Dragway -NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Stock and S/S have been finished for what seems to be hours and are awaiting rd2 or the rain storm that is coming this afternoon .Most saw an improvement this morning in performance - anywhere from .04 to .08 due to lower temps and a better barometer .
Back after rd 2.............
